Visibly Queensland
In Queensland, LGBTQIA+ communities, peer-led organisations and groups play a critical role in delivering responsive health and wellbeing care and support. Drawing on lived experience, local leadership and trusted local networks, providing community-informed services and support that often address gaps within mainstream systems and contribute to more equitable outcomes across the state.
Community-controlled, peer-led health and wellbeing services are increasingly recognised as effective approaches for meeting the health and wellbeing needs of our diverse populations. These approaches deliver care and support that is culturally safe, responsive and locally relevant.

This resource reflects those organisations and groups based in Queensland, running programs, services or activities that are led by and for our Queensland LGBTQIA+ communities.
